Driver Licence Classes

Driver Licence Classes are user-defined codes that define the classes of vehicles covered by a specific Driver Licence Type.

Create

Since Driver Licence Types are associated with issuing authorities, you must first enter the Driver Licence Issuing Authority, then you can enter the Licence Type or double click in the field to select one from the list of values (LOV).

In the Driver Licence Classes section, click in the blank Code field and enter a new Licence Class. This field has a limit of six characters. Enter a description for the new class. This field has a limit of 100 characters.

You also have the option to enter any additional notes about the class by selecting the Note icon at the end of the row.

When finished entering the data, click the Save icon at the top of the frame.  The new class will now be available for use on Driver Main entries.

Modify

You can only modify the descriptions and notes for existing classes. To modify a description for an existing class, click in the Description field and type a new description over the old one. Click Save to update the record.

Disable

To disable a Driver Licence Class, check the Disabled flag in the row of the class you want to disable. Click the Save button.

Delete

You can delete a Driver Licence Class from the Issuing Authority/Licence Type combination provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the class is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the list.

To delete a class that is not in use, click in the row of the Drive Licence Class that you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X). The selected row will turn red. Click Save to delete the record from the system.
