Driver Types

Driver Types are user-defined codes used to identify different types of drivers within the organization. For example, an organization might want to distinguish between Local and National drivers or Full-Time and Seasonal drivers.

Create

To create a new Driver Type, click in the empty Code field and enter a new Driver Type. This field has a limit of six characters. Enter a description for the new code. This field has a limit of 20 characters.

For example: FULL - Full-Time or SEASON - Seasonal

When finished entering the code and description, click the Save button at the top of the frame. The new Driver Type will now be available for use on Driver Main entries.

Modify

You can only modify the descriptions of existing codes. To modify a description for an existing code, click in the Description field and type a new description over the old one. Click Save to update the record.

Disable

To disable a Driver Type, check the Disabled flag in the row of the code you want to disable. Click the Save button.

Delete

You can delete an existing code provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the list.

To delete a Driver Type that is not in use, click in the row of the code you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X). The selected row will turn red. Click the Save button to delete the record from the system.
