Driver Class

Driver Class Codes are user-defined codes used for identifying drivers. You may want to identify drivers by experience level, type of licensing, seniority, or other classification types.

The Driver Classes frame allows you to create and maintain a list of these codes to assist in driver identification, traceability, or meeting other regulatory requirements.

Create

To create a new Driver Class, click in the blank Code field and enter a new code. This field has a limit of six characters. Enter a description for the class in the Description field. This field has a limit of 50 characters.

For example: A - Class A, B - Class B, C - Class C.

When finished with the entry, click the Save icon at the top of the frame. The new Driver Class Code is now available for use on Driver Main entries.

Modify

You can only modify the descriptions of existing codes. To modify a description for an existing code, click in the Description field and type a new description over the old one. Click Save to update the record.

Disable

To disable a Driver Class, check the Disable box at the end of the row of the class you want to disable. Click the Save icon.

Delete

You can delete a Driver Class provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the code is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the list.

To delete a code that is not in use, click in the row of the Driver Class you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete icon (Red X). The selected row will turn red. Click the Save icon to the delete the code from the system.
