Report Log Admin

When AssetWorks delivers Crystal Reports that have been modified they need to be republished in Business Objects XI. The process involves deleting the previous version of the report and this causes any reports that were scheduled for recurring executions to be lost. This screen provides the ability to re-establish the recurring reports by allowing the Administrator to view the parameter information for all reports submitted to Crystal Enterprise.

NOTE: This is an M5 Administrator screen and access should not be given to regular M5 users on their menus.

After a patch or upgrade is applied the Administrator can query the recurring reports in the report log and click the ... button next to Find to request that the reports be rescheduled (Resubmit all Recurring Reports to Crystal Enterprise).

This screen only queries the captured information and does not reflect the state of the report inside Crystal Enterprise. To run the query, enter your filter information in the Filters section and click the 'Retrieve' button when finished.

The Report Schedule data will load on the i-frame below with the Report ID, Submitted Date, App User, Report, Run Interval, Day of Week/Month, Time of Day, Selection Formula, Parameters, Printer, Destination, Format, Report Group, Last Date, E-mail Address, E-mail Subject, Attachment Name, Time Zone Name, Language, and Saved Parameter Name.

Double click on the Report ID to see the report data on the Crystal Enterprise Monitor screen. Crystal Enterprise Monitor will show the state of the report, the selection formula and any errors that occurred.

Role Privileges

RPT LOG ADMIN-EDIT - allows the user to use the edit feature.

RPT LOG ADMIN-ALLUSR - allows the user to view and edit all reports for all sers.

Note: The edit feature is invoked by double clicking the report ID.

From here the user can edit the report destination, owner, email addresses etc. The parameter values and selection formula cannot be edited because there no way to validate them,

The edit screen has a list of actions on the right side of the screen.

Cancel Changes - ignores and changes made and closes the window.

Save Changes - saves the changes made so far and remains on the edit screen.

Cancel Report - If the current report is pending execution or recurring this action will delete it on the crystal server.

Schedule Report - Press this to schedule the report with the new schedule information.

Reschedule Report - If the report is currently scheduled the button will say reschedule instead of schedule. Pressing this button will cancel the current version of the report and reschedule it with the new schedule information.

Purge - This button will delete all instances of this report (not the report itself) from crystal and then delete the record from the REPORT_SCHEDULE_LOG table. This would be used to remove reports that are no longer required or have been scheduled multiple times.
