The Chat Group Maintenance frame allows you to create Chat Groups to assign to user roles on Role Maintenance for use with the M5 Chat Feature.
M5 Chat Groups give you the ability to communicate with multiple users at one time. When you send a message to a chat group, all application users within the group receive that message and can chat back and forth.
To create a new chat group, click in the blank Chat Group field and enter a new chat group name. This field has a limit of 30 characters (alphanumeric). When finished, click the Save button at the top of the frame. You can now assign the chat group to different user roles that have the chat privilege.
PLEASE NOTE, you can delete a chat group from this list even if it is in use and assigned to user roles. You will not receive a warning message. The system will just delete the chat group and remove it from any roles where it was in use.
For more information, see the M5 Chat Setup Quick Guide.
