The Work Order Labor Wedge frame allows you to view and record real-time labor information as your employees are performing and completing work order tasks. This reduces the time required for manual entry of labor transactions on the work order.
You can enter an Employee ID or select from the Current Labor i-frame. The sections which display are based on the employee you select.
Displays Employee, Employee Name, Employee Home Loc, Unit/Department, Indirect Code, WO Number, Job Code, Punch Loc, Punch In, Elapsed Time, Time Unit, Assignment, and New Request information. The Add link in the New Request column opens the Part Request frame.
Displays the WO Number, Unit/Dept No, Job Code, Job Status, Position, Time Type, and Pay Class/Step fields.
View Work Order - Opens the Work Order Main frame.
Add Job Notes - Opens the Work Order Note Editor.
Part Requests for this Job - Opens the Part Request frame.
Note: System Flag 5522 controls when you are able to select the Notes link when you log onto a job using Labor Wedge. When you select Notes, the notes for the job display all job notes and 3C notes associated with the job line on a new frame with Print functionality.
Displays Indirect, Union, Time Type, and Pay Class/Step fields.
Displays Unit Number and New Work Order / Indirect Code fields. You can hover over View My Job Assignments and View My Part Requests to view job and work order information.
1200 - Add new job to Labor Wedge - If set to "Y", then specially authorized employees can add new jobs to work orders "on-the-fly" in Labor Wedge.
1212 - Time before WO open for labor charges - Time before WO open for labor charges? This flag allows the user to set the number of days prior to the open date that labor can be entered and charged to the WO. This allows for back-dating of labor. The default is "0".
1213 - Validate pay class on labor charges? - If the Validate pay class on labor charges? If flag is set to "Y", only the valid pay steps and pay classes set for an employee on the Employee Main frame can be used to charge labor on the Labor Wedge frame or the Labor Payroll Approval frame.
2005 - Refresh Interval for Current Labor - The delay in seconds for the automatic refresh of Current Labor and Labor Wedge frames. The default refresh interval is 900 seconds and the minimum refresh interval is 90 seconds.
2046 - Employee password required for labor wedge (0,1,2,)? - Employee password required flag for the labor wedge: If set to 0, there are no password requirements to enter labor on Labor Wedge. If set to 1, the user must submit the user app password that matches to the password on an App User that has the user app associated to the employee.
If set to 2, the user must submit a password that matches the password on an App User that has the user app associated to the employee OR a password that matched to any App User that is associated with an employee who is a supervisor.
2140 - Enable enhanced warranty exclusions? (Y/N) - When this system flag is set to "Y" Warranty Exclusion Terms can be defined for each System/Component and violations will be triggered looking at Sub-Unit first then Whole Unit second. When this system flag is set to "N", Warranty Violations will be checked at Whole Unit first then Sub-Unit second (then Parts).
5001 - Adopting 3-char SYSTEM code/10-char JOB code? - This flag allows the user to define how they wish their job codes to display. If "Y", a 3-char system code is needed with the job code like 02-013-001. If "N" (the default), M5 utilizes the standard job code like 02-13-001.
5003 - Capture Time Type/ Pay Class / Step on Labor Entry - If this flag is set to Yes, then the Time Type, Pay Class and Pay Step of the Employee will be captured during the Labor Entry process. The default is No.
5009 - Use employee PIN on LaborWedge - If the flag is set to Yes, then a PIN number will be required when entering time using the Labor Wedge frame. The default is No.
5010 - Client Prefix Code - This system flag sets the Client Prefix Code, usually set by AssetWorks.
5016 - Use Position Code on WO? (N-No, Y-Yes, A-Advanced) - If this flag is set to Yes, then the Position Code field will be displayed on the Part Issue tab of the Work Order frame and Part Request frame. If this flag is set to Advanced multiple position codes can be entered when the system or system/assembly code ALWAYS requires a position code entry and the quantity exceeds one.
5150 - Display CURRENT LABOR information on LABORWEDGE (Y/N) - Display CURRENTLABOR information on LABORWEDGE Y/N. "Y" is the default and protects the existing M5 LABORWEDGE functionality. "N" will give the M5 labor wedge the look and feel of M4.
5162 - Test suites affect Labor Wedge in four different ways - 1), 2), 3), and 4). - This module flag takes effect in the Labor Wedge screen when completing the work order job. When this module flag is set to 1, Labor Wedge will complete the job without checking the test suites for the job; When it is set to 2, Labor Wedge will give a warning if there are open test suites on the job, but the user can still continue to complete and save; When it is set to 3, Labor Wedge will not allow the user to complete and save until the test suite results for the job have been entered or the test suites have been completed; When it is set to 4, Labor Wedge will prompt the user that there is an open test suite on the job when they log into Labor Wedge, and it will not allow the user to change the job status to "DON" and save until the test suite results for the job have been entered or the test suites have been completed.
5216 - Display Warranty Violations on Labor Wedge and Touchscreen? - On Labor Wedge, when the user is creating jobs on the fly to a work order, and this system flag is set to Y, there will be a warranty violation message displaying if there is warranty violation, and the warranty complaint, cause and correction notes will be added.
In Touchscreen, there will only be warranty violation warning, the warranty notes will not be added.
5233 - Assignment of Employee by Resource Type? (E/N/W) - This flag enforces the assignment of an employee by resource type during the real-time labor capture process through both the Shop Portal and the Labor Wedge functionality. This flag will not be enforced within any after-the-fact labor entry process (such as Labor Time Card) where the actual work has already occurred. When this flag is set to "N". No change in current processing. When this flag is set to "E". If the job assigned to the employee has a resource type defined, the employee must have the same resource type defined that is not expired. When this flag is set to "W". If the job assigned to the employee has a resource type defined, provide a warning if the employee does not have the same resource type or if the resource type for the employee is expired.
5236 - Use the parking spot concept? (Y/N/L) - N - Parking location and parking spot will not be displayed on availability unit status and labor wedge screens;
Y - Parking location and parking spot will be displayed on work order main, availability unit status and labor wedge screens; L - Only parking location will be displayed on work order main and availability unit status screens (This option has no effect on labor wedge screen). Choosing N will use the parking space which is a free-form field on work order main. When this flag is set to L and flag 5418 is set to Y, opening a new work order will default the parking location field from the parking location value set on unit main.
5237 - Display Employee Assignment link from Labor Wedge? (Y/N) - This flag offers the ability to view and select job assignments. The employee assignment list will display the list of assignments in job priority order. The user can select a job to sign onto by clicking the add row. This will pre-populate the work order number and job code to make it easier for the user to sign onto the job.
5292 - Allows Part Requests on Labor Wedge? (Y/N) - If the flag is set to "Y", employee can add or view the part request from the Labor Wedge screen. If set to "N", the link to part request is disabled from the Labor Wedge screen.
5301 - Job Note Read Only? (Y/N) - If the flag is set to "Y", the job notes will be read only. If set to "N", job notes field will be open for editing.
5354 - Allow completing work order from labor wedge? (Y/N) - If the user has done the last job on the work order in Labor Wedge, setting this flag to "Y" will prompt the user if they want to complete the work order. If the answer is Yes, it will open up the work order in a separate window. On that work order window, the user can complete the work order, or execute other work order specific tasks. Setting this flag to "N", there will be no prompt.
5495 - Make Job Notes Mandatory (Y/N)? - Default value is N to preserve the current functionality. When set to Y job notes for work orders will be required to set a job's status to DON. This applies to the Work Order Main, Work Order Express, and Labor Wedge frames for Work Orders in Open Status only. (Jobs added to completed/closed work orders, by definition, default to DON status. Users are not "setting" the status, thus this functionality does not apply/notes are not required.) Note: auto-generated job notes do not qualify when the flag is set to Y. Any system-generated notes are not considered to be valid job notes for this functionality. When set to N job note functionality will work as previously designed (job notes are not required to set a job's status to DON).
5522 - Use Standard/Separate WO/Job/Warranty Notes? (Y/N) - When set to N, the notes icon on the Job lines of WO Main, WO Express, and/or Commercial
Work Order job lines and the Add Job Notes link via Labor Wedge will be used to show all job notes AND 3C notes associated to that job on a new frame, which will also include the new ‘Print’ functionality. The Warranty Notes icon and frame will still be available, as before, which should be used if users wish to cancel the Warranty.
UPD TIME LABORWEDGE - Allows the employee to update time when scanning time in the Labor Wedge frame.
ANY-WO-LABOR-DATE - If user is granted this, they will be allowed to enter labor past the WO completed date or before the open date.
OVERRIDE PIN - Authority to log out an employee in Labor Wedge, if you are designated as a supervisor.
UPD PAY TIME LW - Allow user to update time in Labor Wedge.
